• How AnimeTern works ?

AnimeTern captures the video when it goes full-screen and processes it via a neural network-based shader pipeline (Anime4K CNN) on your GPU, optimized specifically for anime.

• Presets :

Choose the one that matches your GPU and desired output. They all use the same engine but differ in the number of processing passes and the intensity of the effect.

• Balanced — Smooth and efficient. The ideal everyday choice: a complete restoration and upscaling pipeline with moderate intensity. Low GPU demand, perfect for long viewing sessions.
• Quality — A proven, comprehensive pipeline. The same process, but pushed further to achieve significantly more precise outlines and sharper shapes.
• RTX Quality — Dual reconstruction. Performs the restoration twice and merges the results. Offers sharper outlines and fewer artifacts than a single pass, at the cost of a higher GPU load.
• Max Detail — Maximum clarity. Dual reconstruction combined with two additional clarity passes at maximum intensity. Produces the sharpest possible outlines and micro-contrast with AnimeTern. Ideal for powerful GPUs.

Tip: Start with "Balanced" mode. If your GPU has sufficient resources, move up to "Quality," then "RTX Quality," and finally "Max Detail."

• Additional controls :

Stream cleanup: Removes compression blocks from low-bitrate streams while preserving outlines.

Gradient smoothing: Corrects color banding in skies, fog, and dark scenes.

Saturation and contrast sliders: To fine-tune the final output.

Automatic full-screen detection: Starts enhancement as soon as the video switches to full-screen.

FrameGen (RTX series): Makes the enhanced image compatible with frame generation tools like Lossless Scaling.

GPU selection: Choose the graphics card to perform the processing.

Processing performed entirely locally. No cloud, no account creation, no registrations.
